I experience situations like this on a regular basis. And when I tell people that I used to be really shy, that is 100% true. Growing up, I was about as much of the stereotypical shy, nerdy Asian kid as you can get. Literally incapable of going up to someone new and talking to them, and if someone came to talk to me, I would be sh***ing my pants. Late in high school I took my first steps to consciously focus on improving this area of my life. Now I travel the world living my dream of meeting and connecting with new people every single day.
